» Pagliacci’s in Victoria: THE place to be feasting (okay maybe hungover) on a Sunday

The other day I was on Granville Island with my friend when the sun beamed down and pointed our appetites to this bountiful offering of stuffed olives at the Zara Deli counter in the market.

Our novelty-seeking palates didn’t know what to do with themselves. Why, here we had lemon rind stuffed olives (helloooo martini), blue cheese stuffed olives, pecan stuffed olives, and cheddar stuffed olives.

lemon stuffed olivesWell as any sane women would do, we decided to buy some of each one. Which, truth be told, was a bizarre experience. Apparently there’s a reason why most everyone sells garlic and feta stuffed olives and not the other varieties. They’re simply the best.

Which is another way of saying, those other kinds just weren’t keepers. Except for the lemon ones. In vodka. Yum.
