
Love her or hate her, you just cant avoid Gail Simmons on TV these days. The James Beard Foundation interviewed her to find out more about her fast rise in the culinary world. It turns out she started as an assistant for Jeffrey Steingarten (which makes a kind of sense) and parlayed that into a position as special events manager for Daniel Boulud. The rest of it is best read with eyes half-closed. I only pretend to love Gail in order to annoy those close to me.
