In the spirit of 12B, I came across a list of underground restaurants being compiled at saltshaker.net. Not only does the concept seem to be gaining in popularity, but the list led me to read about another underground restaurant in Vancouver, called Secret Supper.
Hidden away somewhere in east van, Secret Supper serves up 3 course meals, 3 sundays a month for approximately $20 a head. Everything is vegan, organic and “unconventional.”
An example menu for an up-coming dinner:
Smoked tofu and chipotle apple spring rolls served on roasted beets and spagetti squash with peach chutney.
Roasted sherry stew with seasonal vegetables and nut and grain dumplings.
Dark chocolate cheesecake with blackberry compote.
Although I don’t usually go out of my way to eat vegan food, this does sound interesting and quite delicious!

Ted said,
I have been to said Secret Supper, and it was awesome! I’m a big meat eater, but I loved every bite – a great value. Go.
