I am a rabid fan of the Top Chef series. And after the success of Top Chef Masters, Bravo is planning to air another spin-off called Top Chef: Just Desserts. This one will be focused on pastry chefs, of course, and will be using the exact same format as the classic Top Chef series. Personally I find pastry cooking boring. I don’t watch the endless cake contests on the food network, but with the top chef format, I might get dragged in anyway. Bravo’s Berwick says that they plan to have some kind of Top Chef programming airing throughout the year.

We’re finding people really love this franchise, and there seems to be no end to the  interest in it

“Top Chef: Just Desserts” joins other recently announced shows TLC’s “Cake Boss,” “Ultimate Cake-Off,” “Ace of Cakes,” and “Amazing Wedding Cakes.” That is a lot of cake.
